A person can be found guilty of that offense if all of the following facts are proved beyond a reasonable doubt: First: That the person knowingly and willfully devised a scheme to defraud, or for obtaining money or property by means of false pretenses, representations or promises; Second: That the person knowingly transmitted or caused to be transmitted by wire in interstate commerce some sound for the purpose of executing the scheme to defraud. EXTORTION - The use, or the express or implicit threat of the use, of violence or other criminal means to cause harm to person, reputation, or property as a means to obtain property from someone else with his consent. USC 18 I received a letter from the State of Nevada, Department of Business and Industry, NEVADA CONSUMER AFFAIRS DIVISION regarding Ticketsmyway. It reads as follows: Dear Sir, The Division has received your complaint against the aforementioned business, and an investigation has been initiated. The investigation has been assigned to the writer. If you have any questions concerning the investigative process, such as time frames, what will be done or accomplished, possible resolutions or any general information please contact the Division at the telephone number noted in the letterhead. I purchased two tickets from Event Tickets LLC (dba www.ticketsmyway.com) on April 8, 2008 for a Broadway musical showing May 3, 2008. A week prior to my leaving for NY I still hadn’t received the tickets. During the week prior to my departure for New York on May 1, 2008, I sent numerous emails, voicemails and even faxes to Event Tickets LLC (dba ticketsmyway.com)—all of which were unreturned. On May 2, 2008—the day prior to the show—I received a voicemail message from Andrew Sims at Event Tickets, LLC saying that the tickets had been FedExed to my home address in Seattle the day prior to the show. Obviously, I wasn’t able to use the tickets, and when I returned from NY, the tickets that were sent were not even the tickets that I ordered! I had ordered seats in the center orchestra section, row Q. I don’t remember the seat numbers, but I actually selected the individual seats from a seating chart. Each seat on the chart had a different price assigned to it and I paid for the two seats I selected. The tickets that were eventually sent to me were not for the seats I had purchased, not even in the center orchestra or row Q, but way off to stage left with a partially obstructed view. Not surprisingly the price printed on the tickets were almost $100 less than what I had originally paid. Their scam is obvious to me now. They give you the impression you are purchasing certain tickets at a certain price by having you select them from a seating chart. Next, they wait until a day or two before the actual performance and then purchase a much cheaper seat from what little inventory remains and then send this to you.

I purchased tickets for Rent in Chicago in the fall of 2007. They called weeks before the event and told me that they could only get me two tickets.

Never credited my account. Notified American Express and they did a charge back. They called me months later at work one day threatening to sue me. They even went as far as to give me the bogus court summons.

Being a student I took it to one of my friends who was in pre-law stating that this suit is bogus. They said they would ruin my credit, which is fantastic. I talked with my grandma's lawyer and they told me not to do anything. I bowed down to them, paying them 75 dollars.

They then sent me a letter stating everything was good.

They called back several weeks later wanting more money. I hung up, and I haven't heard from them since.

Tickets My Way = ***!

I purchased 2 tickets to the February Keith Sweat concert. After I purchased the tickets, TMW called me and said those specific tickets were not available any longer, but they had 2 other tickets available (at a higher price; approx $25 more/tkt). That should've been my clue to take my money and run.. I day or so later, I purchased the more expensive pair, which was about 4 days before the event. Well, the day before the event arrived and I never received my tickets! I tried calling, emailing, instant messaging TMW. I never got through to anyone. The day of the event, I still didn't get the tickets, so I called my bank and had them dispute the charge on my card. Luckily, I got my money back. A couple months ago, I received a "letter of intent to sue". They've been threatening my every since. I still haven't and will not pay those rat bastards! A week or so ago, they sent me an email wanting to settle with me. Basically, they wanted me to go to their website and post 2 positive comments of my experience with them.. Not!! As I result, I decided to post my comments on this site =)

I just got an email from TMW saying my account had been settled. Timeline: Get threatening phonecall saying they were taking me to court, get FedEx saying they were taking me to court, get email that they would settle for $125, get email that they would wipe debt clean if I would post positive reviews, get email today that account has been settled.

I didn't respond to any correspondence.

Sounds like they're running scared. I truly hope no one succumbed to their threats and everyone got their money back.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I purchased concert tickets in April for a show that was scheduled for the end of August. After waiting for my tickets for a few months I found out that they wouldn't ship until a week before the event. I received a phone call a few weeks before the event that the tickets were "no longer available due to a problem with inventory". I've left countless voicemails to inquire about my refund with no luck. I finally got through using this number and was told that 888-442-**** xt.221 and was told that their merchant credit card processing system wasn't working and there was nothing they could do about it. I'm currently filing complaints with every govt and consumer affairs group in the US. SCAM!

:( TicketsMyWay people are total CROOKS! I purchased US Open tennis tickets from them in the springtime. Of course when it came to August my tickets never arrived. I was told there was nothing they could do to give a refund and that I should file a complaint with Visa or Paypal. Visa and Paypal wouldn't give a refund because too much time had went by to file a complaint.

Don't be SCAMMED like I have. Buy from a reputable dealer.

I look forward to the day when someone puts a @@@@@@ through their @@@@.

"I heard of people getting scammed for a lot of money," one online shopper . The Upstate New York Better Business Bureau is sending out a consumer warning to those buying tickets online for sport events, concerts, and theater. The bureau warns people to watch out for ticketsmyway.com, a website operating out of Las Vegas. Ticketsmyway - has anyone actually been taken to court?

I am one of the lucky people that are on the list of those who have received the email offering to resolve the "lawsuit" for $125. I've read a lot of postings on this site and others from people with the same problem. What I'd like to know is has anyone actually been taken to court or seen this on their credit report? Has anyone paid the $125? Just wondering what to expect. We chose not to give them the $125. I've seen postings from others that have paid the money just to get rid of them. I can't believe ticketsmyway is getting away with this. They need to go to jail.

here is the latest email I receied from ticketsmyway...The original amount that they sad I owed them was over $500. Then it went down to 125 and now they want this from me.

Ticketsmyway/EventTickets LLC is a scam

I ordered tickets to the NFC championship game on Jan 13 2008 from Ticketsmyway and paid with my credit card. The order confirmation stated the tickets would be shipped within 48 hours by FedEx and theh status of my order was processing. After 48 hours passed and no tickets and repeated calls to and leaving messages to Ticketsmyway and emails to them I contacted my credit card company and was able to stop the transaction and my account was credited. I left one last message with Ticketsmyway, which was never returned. I filed complaints with the Nevada BBB and the FBI internet crimes division and did not hear from Ticketsmyway until June 2008 when a FedEx packet was delivered to my home from Event Tickets LLC. Inside was a affidavt from Ticketsmyway/Event Tickets LLC from the Clark County Clerk of Courts. The affidavt stated I was being sued for over 2000.00 for tickets that ordered and cancelled, also included was 400.00 of interest that I owed for tickets that were never shipped much less recieved. There was no seal or signature from a notary public which is required for a valid summons in any state. Upon checking the Clark County Nevada Justice Court Website it is clearly stated that the Justice Court can not be used to sue a party who does not live within Clark County Nevada. I called the BBB of southern Nevada and was directed to the Nevada AG's office where I was told that I was the 154th call that had been recieved by their office that day regarding the "summons" and was told the summons was not valid. I downloaded the AG's division of consumer affair complaint form and filed the complaint form with the Nevada AG office and with the AG's office in my state. I called the number that was on the summons for Andrew Sims who is listed as the plaintiff informing him that I had received his paperwork and the steps I had taken in response. Within a few hours I got a call from Andrew Sims regarding my "threatening phone call" and if the office that I had mentioned have no authority over Event Tickets LLC/dba Ticketsmyway.com. He informed me that I needed to pay them the money I owed for tickets that were never or ever going to be sent and to stop being a deadbeat. He asked me "one last time before the lawsuit was filed" if I was going to pay my bill and I said NO. He then got even nastier and said he couldn't wait to see me in Las Vegas. I contacted the Nevada AG's office again and was encouraged to file a police report in my town about the situation and about Mr. Andrew Sims comments and I did so. I have not heard anything from Mr. Sims or any representive of Ticketsmyway.com or Event Tickets LLC since that time. During my last conversation with the Nevada AG's office I was told due to the sheer volume of complaints and actions of Ticketsmyway.com and Event Tickets LLC the AG herself was looking into the matter. I hope lega action is taken against this "company" and they are shut down so no one else is swindled like myself and hundreds of others.

I contacted the BBB.They are NOT a member,as it or they mentioned it somewhere on the internet.

I spoke to someone at www.fyiconsumer.org

They said to go to the site,and fill out a complaint form.I am also contacting some of the musicians/athletes/etc.That have their tickets on their site.Like I said before,the person who owns this company is in so much legal trouble right now.So just know that karma is coming for him.

I feel sorry for all of you who have had to deal with credit fraud and stress over this.

I have suffered the exact same experience with Ticketsmyway. I submitted an order (in my case, tickets for a Florida concert), had my credit card debited for the full amount, received a phone call several days later from ticketsmyway advising that they were unable to obtain the tickets and advising that a refund would be issued. When no refund appeared and my monthly statement closed out, I contacted American Express and ticketsmayway. After numerous phone calls (most to a voicemail box), my account was finally credited back for the undelivered tickets. Several months later the fun began. First threatening letters delivered by fedex claiming ticketsmyway would file a law suit in Nevada for full amount of the tickets (which they cancelled) and for additional "penalties" unless I paid the full ticket price plus the penalties. Then a series of hostile, harrassing phone calls begin, followed by follow-up emails - where in "settlement" they offer to lower their demand to $125 - for alleged wrongful contact with a credit card company seeking a refund. They appear to use the same $125 scam with everyone. Credit card holders are obligated to timely advise the issuer of a disputed charge to preserve his/her rights to dispute a charge. Ticketsmayway plays "gotcha". They cancel, they don't refund and when you advise your credit card company, they hit you with the penalty demand - citing the contractual provisions which they claim prohibits you from contacting a credit card company to process the refund. They then threaten to sue you in Nevada and to notify the national credit rating agencies of your "delinquency". The first lesson here is not to do business with them. The next is for local Nevada residents to defend against them in Nevada court. The final lesson is to fight back. Contact the attorneys general of Nevada (and your local state) and advise them of how ticketsmyway does business. And pass the word along about this company.

Ticketsmyway - Don't Listen to Their Threats!

Andrew calls and emails me so often it is now become entertaining. I look forward to getting his beligerent voicemails and the email threats. Unfortunately some months ago I fell for the scam and ordered tickets by credit card which never came. I tried to contact Ticketsmyway by phone and mail so I disputed the charge. Now Andrew calls me all the time and keeps emailing me. His threatening emails have become more conciliatory lately. Now he wants me to post positive information about Ticketsmyway.com and he'll forget the whole thing! What a guy. I wonder if Andrew's tone has changed due to investigations on Ticketsmyway and that people are learning the truth about the scam he perpetuates. Then type in Event Tickets LLC or Ticketsmyway. I note the BBB has received 222 compliants in the last 36 mo. for Event Tickets and 126 complaints for Ticketsmyway. Its interesting reading. Again, don't let Andrew or Jacob fool you. Pay them nothing. They are in big trouble.

Attention all future victims, below is the reason for this positive review. Don't do business with these guys unless you want to be threatened with litigation, blacklisting from all online ticket brokers and ruined credit, just like I am currently being threatened by TMW and Andrew Sims.

Also, TMW is now doing business as Onthegotickets.com... Buyer beware!!

Ticketsmyway - Thieves, Cons and Scamsters

My situation is identical to the below complaints and probably many others. I made the mistake of buying several tickets to a concert using Ticketsmyway. They didn't show up and I received a call from Ticketsmyway to cancel the tickets and that would enable me to get a refund. Similar to the tickets, the refund didn't show up either and no one apparently answers phones or responds to email at Ticketsmyway. I didn't waste much time as it was obvious what was going on. I contacted my credit card company and canceled the order. They got the money back from Ticketsmyway bank (45 days) which undoubtedly caused a charge back fee to TMway. A couple of months ago they sent me by Fed Ex a bogus Summons to appear in Clark County Court in Las Vegas with penalty charges tacked on to my original purchase. Included in the papers was a convenient offer for me to wire money to their bank account as a way to settle up my unpaid bill for tickets I never received!! Ticketsmyway defaulted yet, since I canceled the order (at their advise/request) they point to the terms and conditions and feel they are due 45% of the charge since the order was canceled. A total bait and switch. From what I can tell, I have to be a resident of that county to be sued in small claims and I have written the Nevada Attorney General, Nevada BBB, FBI Internet fraud. I have received relentless calls from a certain Ticketsmyway employee who claims to be their attorney. And similar to the complaint below, I also received an email today saying that they are getting ready to sue me soon but if I just send them $125 all will be resolved. This is probably the amount of the charge back fee they got nailed with by their bank which resulted from their unsuccessful efforts to screw me. What shameless thieves and miscreants. Major league dirt bags. I feel badly for the many people who paid these thugs with money orders and wires as they will probably never recover their losses unless maybe the Nevada Attorney General gets off her butt. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! I WAS SUED BY TICKETSMYWAY.COM AND I APPEARED AT THE LAS VEGAS JUSTICE COURT VERY CONFIDENT I WOULD WIN. I PRINTED ALL THE COMPLAINTS HERE AND BROUGHT ALL MY EMAILS WITH THEM. THE FREAKING JUDGE SAID BECAUSE I SIGNED A CONTRACT THAT I WAS OBLIGATED!!!! THEY DID NOT SEND ME TICKETS AND THEY FREAKING WON!!! I AM BEYOND PISSED! I SHOULD HAVE DID WHAT I THOUGHT TO DO AND JUST PAID ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS! BUT I TOOK ADVICE FROM SEVERAL PEOPLE ON HERE AND DID NOT PAY BECAUSE I THOUGHT THEY COULD NOT REALLY SUE ME. Ever wonder how companies like this get the tickets in the first place?

I don't know about you, but when I camp out all night for tix (which can be a fun experience in itself), I'm always limited to buying 3 or 4 tickets....yet a 75,000 seat stadium only seems to have 10 or 20,000 seats for sale...what gives? 50,000 tickets went missing?

Well, after working with some folks in the radio industry, and some friends who've had the priveledge of playing those stadiums - only to find _they_ can't even gets tix for friends and family - it started to become clear.

The TicketBa$tard and ClearChannel folks seem to actually be making a profit off these scalpers......(funny that no one has ever looked into that). They routinely oversell the shows after promising X number of tickets to these other vendors who already paid them for the 'right' to break the scalping laws in most communities......so the only way these companies can make money is to sell you tickets they know they don't have, and hope that you'll get sucked in by their BS Terms of Sale Agreements - so they can still recoup their losses by suing you for the fees on tickets they never had in the first place!!!! If they somehow manage to actually get the tix they told you they had - you're a customer for life.....F@#$ the rest of you who didn't luck out - we'll still get our money, plus $125 if you contest the charge.

After all.....TicketBa$tard$ still gets their money!!!

I've decided that the best way to deal with this is to follow Pearl Jam's lead, and not support these huge media companies....it sucks I may miss on some of my favorite shows - but the more intimate venues are much more fun for the fans and the band!

And I've gained a new appreciation for the bands that forgo the huge wheelbarrows of cash in exchange for a more intimate experience for those who support them in the first place - the fans!

$200 for a *** seat in front of a pole next to some puking teenager who hasn't learned that an afternoon of drinking in a hot asphalt parking lot before a show is NOT fun.

$50 for a paper thin almost cotton "made in China by slave labor" tour shirt

$25 for parking, only to find you car broken into/vandalized as you get ready to head home.

$10 for a pint of almost cold Bud Light *** water......IS NOT PRICELESS......

It's gonna make me not want to see that band/sports team/various other entertainment EVER AGAIN.. and you can be sure I'll be on the Internet telling folks not to make the same mistake....

Support your local clubs....help them bring in the name acts...enjoy some local no-name bands (***, you may actually be able to say one day - I saw those guys in some small club)...Support bands who don't support the RIAA..buy their albums. Even better, support the bands who realize it's the fans that make them what they are - those bands that not only allow, but encourage us to come to their shows with recording gear - in order to get their word out.......

Music is not a commodity.....it's time we started telling these corporate folks that we're not gonna stand for that!!!

I contacted the county Court Clerks office and found out that TMW has never been given a favorable decision by any judge in their county...that said, DON'T PAY THEM A RED CENT!!!!!The above posts are from them or from people trying to take advantage of their "final" offer to wipe the slate clean if you post two positive remarks about them on the internet. I posted the exact letter they sent me below.

Tickets my Way - A Hive of *** and Villainy

My situation is identical to the below complaint and probably many others. I made the mistake of buying several tickets to a concert using Ticketsmyway. They didn't show up and I received a call from Ticketsmyway to cancel the tickets and that would enable me to get a refund. Similar to the tickets, the refund didn't show up either and no one apparently answers phones or responds to email at Ticketsmyway. I didn't waste much time as it was obvious what was going on. I contacted my credit card company and canceled the order. They got the money back from Ticketsmyway bank (45 days) which undoubtedly caused a charge back fee to TMway. A couple of months ago they sent me by Fed Ex a bogus Summons to appear in Clark County Court in Las Vegas with penalty charges tacked on to my original purchase. Included in the papers was a convenient offer for me to wire money to their bank account as a way to settle up my unpaid bill for tickets I never received!! Ticketsmyway defaulted yet, since I canceled the order (at their advise/request) they point to the terms and conditions and feel they are due 45% of the charge since the order was canceled. A total bait and switch. From what I can tell, I have to be a resident of that county to be sued in small claims and I have written the Nevada Attorney General, Nevada BBB, FBI Internet fraud. I have received relentless calls from a certain Ticketsmyway employee who claims to be their attorney. And similar to the complaint below, I also received an email today saying that they are getting ready to sue me soon but if I just send them $125 all will be resolved. This is probably the amount of the charge back fee they got nailed with by their bank which resulted from their unsuccessful efforts to screw me. What shameless thieves and miscreants. Major league dirt bags. I feel badly for the many people who paid these thugs with money orders and wires as they will probably never recover their losses unless maybe the Nevada Attorney General gets off her butt. Do not use them for any reason. Ticketsmyway.com--run far, run fast.

Same thing here... bought a couple of concert tickets, never received them, was promised a credit for the tickets that was never issued, finally called American Express who investigated and then issued a credit... now I've got these sharks demanding $125.00 and threatening a lawsuit and negative credit advisories. If this has happened to you then please file with the Nevada Attorney Generals Office: Nevada Attorney General's Office -775-684-**** http://ag.state.nv.us/org/bcp/complaint_form_bcplv.pdf If enough people contact the Nevada Attorney General's Office then maybe TicketsMyWay will be shut down for good.

As many of you know, ticketsmyway has been trying to get money out of people using bait and switch and then using their "terms" to force people to pay by sending out blank small claims documents to consumers threatening to sue. If you didn't pay the first time they offered to settle for $125. Then if you didn't pay, they said they would forgive you if you placed two positive ads on the net. Obviously this is what is happening. Also, the have started a new site, onthegotickets.com, if you check the addresses, they are the same. Check out the BBB and Internet before you place an order.

I have checked onthegotickets' website the past few days. When I click to buy tickets computer error messages pop up.

Nice to know that they are not "actively" ripping people off right now. Hope it stays that way!

Attention all future victims, below is the reason for this positive review. Don't do business with these guys unless you want to be threatened with litigation, blacklisting from all online ticket brokers and ruined credit, just like I am currently being threatened by TMW and Andrew Sims.

Also, TMW is now doing business as Onthegotickets.com... Buyer beware!!
